Beyonce Weight Loss And The Diet Plan Beyonce Used To Lose Weight Fast


There are 2 different weight loss achievements Beyonce made that are much talked about. The first is when she lost 20 pounds in 2 weeks in order to look like the character Deena Jones she played in the movie Dreamgirls, when Deena was slimmer at 16 years old. Second, is more recently when she lost 60 lbs, five months after having her first baby, Blue Ivy Carter.

The diet was a challenge for Beyonce but she said it was necessary to do it in order to lose the weight.

She is quoted as saying "Back in the sixties, models like Twiggy were popular and I knew Deena would have been thin then, so even though I really love eating, it was necessary to lose weight really fast because we shot Deena at 16 and Deena at 36 two weeks apart."

Beyonce quickly put the weight back on as soon as it was over. It's important to note that the true purpose of the The Master Cleanse Diet is for cleansing and detoxification of the body but due to it's severe restrictions on food it also drastically slims the body down.

It's not recommended to use such diet when your intension is to lose weight safely and keep it off permanently. Beyonce used it to lose some pounds only to act in the movie for awhile then gained it all back.
